General Questions
The Gift Giver is the person who purchases an optionality—a digital gift voucher intended for
someone else.
The Gift Receiver is the person who receives the optionality and uses it to select a gift from
our curated collection.
An optionality is a digital gift voucher that allows the Gift Receiver to choose a physical
gift. It qualifies as a multi-purpose voucher (MPV) under Dutch and EU VAT law, meaning VAT is
calculated
only when the voucher is redeemed.
Voucher & Redemption
Each optionality is valid for 2 years. However, the specific gift bag contents are guaranteed
for 4 weeks after the purchase date, so we recommend redeeming sooner if you have a particular gift
in
mind.
If you’re the Gift Receiver, simply enter the voucher code you received, choose your preferred
gift, and provide your shipping details through the Smart Giftly platform.
We currently ship only within the Netherlands.
Delivery usually takes 1 to 2 weeks after redemption. If your gift includes personalized items,
it may take a little longer.
Payment & Invoicing
Payment is made by the Gift Giver at the time of purchasing the optionality.
Yes, VAT is included in the price shown for the optionality. The final invoice is issued after
the gift is redeemed, based on the selected item.
Yes. The Gift Giver will receive the invoice once the Gift Receiver has redeemed the voucher.
Cancellations & Returns
Yes. The Gift Giver may cancel the purchase within 48 hours of payment, provided the voucher has
not yet been redeemed.
Yes. The Gift Giver may withdraw within 14 days of receiving the gift bag, unless the item is:
- Perishable (e.g., fresh food),
- Custom-made (e.g., personalized jewelry),
- Sealed and hygiene-sensitive (if the seal has been broken).
